Multiple corridor initiatives have been deployed across the East and South East region of Africa in recent decades overseen by a range of national and multi-lateral organisations. The governance of East and Southern African corridors involves multiple layers of stakeholders, including regional economic communities like the EAC, SADC, and COMESA, as well as national governments, private sector actors, and various transport and logistics organizations. The World Bank and African Development Bank also play a significant role in supporting these initiatives
