Objective

The Project would support Cambodia’s economic development and strengthen subregional integration by enabling cost-effective and efficient railway transport within Cambodia and between Cambodia and Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Description

The Project involves rehabilitating or reconstructing the railway and reestablishing the railway connection with Thailand. The railway is also being restructured and the rehabilitated railway will be operated by a new, commercial railway operator.
