Description

Hassan Gouled Aptidon International Airport is a planned new airport construction project for Ali-Sabieh, Djibouti's second largest city. Ali-Sabieh is located approximately 90 kilometres southwest of the largest city and capital, Djibouti city. The new international airport is part of a USD599 million upgrade of its air travel infrastructure launched by Djibouti's government. The Hassan Gouled Aptidon Airport project was initially planned in cooperation with China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, but the project was suspended in Oct-2017 pending the relaunch of an international call for tenders.
