Description

The project will improve the connectivity between the capital Dushanbe and Kurgonteppa, which are two major cities and economic hubs in Tajikistan. The road is a strategic north -south link, and one of the most heavily traveled roads in the country, as well as the confluence of CAREC corridors 2, 5, and 6.

History

Kurgonteppa changed its name to Bokhtar.
