Description

Amigo LNG is an LNG liquefaction terminal under development on Mexico’s west coast in Guaymas, Sonora. The first train is designed to deliver 3.9 MTPA of nominal capacity (4.2 MTPA design capacity), with provisions for a second train of equal size, bringing the total export capacity to 7.8 MTPA. Designed as a FLNG facility, Amigo LNG combines a compact environmental footprint with best-in-class U.S. liquefaction technology. Feed gas is sourced from the prolific U.S. Permian Basin and transported to Mexico via existing cross-border pipeline infrastructure. Situated on a 150-acre site with deepwater ocean frontage next to Port of Guaymas, the project offers double berth marine facilities capable of berthing LNG carriers of up to 216,000 m³.
