Description
The Abuja-Kaduna segment is the first to be implemented as part of the standard gauge project. The line features nine stations and a designed speed of 150km/h.
History
The railway replaces the Cape gauge Western Line built by the British in 1896–1927, which has a lower design capacity and is in a deteriorated condition
